You know those signs at resorts that warn about gear getting caught in the chair lift, and your subsequent reaction that you think it'll never happen to you? Thanks to the quick thinking of personnel at Elk Mountain, Pennsylvania, this young skier spent only a few heart-stopping moments in that reality when her pole became lodged in the chair.

According to reports, she was uninjured and wanted to return to the slopes shortly after her rescue. We certainly admire her tenacity.
