Getting follow cam shots is simple, right? You just follow your buddy while pointing a GoPro in their general direction. That may be true, but getting good follow cam shots isn't quite as simple, especially when you add cliffs, trees, and other features into the equation. In many cases, the cameraperson has to ski the same line as the athletes—all while wrangling a camera. Timing and positioning is critical, and requires a fair bit of planning to get right.
