What Cody Townsend is doing with his project The Fifty might be one of the most refreshing things to happen to the ski world in a while, but let’s not forget he’s not the first to do it! The whole project is based on the book Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America, written by Penn Newhard, Chris Davenport and Art Burrows. Cody only has 20 lines left to climb and ski, but most of those won’t be safe to ride for another few months, so he took to the time to give us a little rundown of the history of his project, in between ripping laps with his wife and favorite ski partner Elyse Saugstad. If you haven’t already, check out our new short film On My Own Terms, about Elyse’s trajectory as a pro skier. But before you do that, learn more about the story behind The Fifty from the authors themselves.

For those who cherish the après just as much as powder, this season has looked a little different. Hopeful youngsters like Hans here just want to find that ski town party. But with COVID-19 shutting down the bars, where's a guy to show off the powder blue fart bag and perfectly groomed stache to go with his dance moves? With no luck hitting the Cowboy, Hans realizes that the party is in the outdoors, getting after it. Armed with his 65 underfoot Rossignol skinny skis and renewed sense of

The people have spoken, the results are in, and a winner has been chosen for X Games Real Ski 2021. Salt Lake City based Alex Hall takes the gold in the real ski event this year. His edit is chock full of solid park and urban skiing, not to mention it was filmed and edited by the talented Etienne Mérel. The combined forces of these two ski industry hard hitters makes it no shock that Hall took the gold. That is until Tom Wallisch surprised him with it in an impromptu X Games medal ceremony.
