These days, to make an impact with ski new film, you have to do something unique. Maybe that unique angle comes from stripping production down to the studs and recreating the vibes of backyard home videos, or incorporating pyrotechnics to grab the audience's eyes and incinerate their corneas, or maybe it's finding the intersection between a ski film and a music video by interweaving footage of a band jamming into a film. For Simply. Recreation Club., the angle they took was creating their own visual manifesto by amalgamating "16mm film with modern cinema cameras to create a contemplative mosaic that captures Laurent and Sampo’s skiing in its most elemental form." It truly is a spectacle. Check out the full film on their youtube!
