Alright, picture this: a bunch of super rad athletes from different backgrounds come together and make one big, super sport. Crazy, right? But that's exactly what the guys who thought up the X-Project did. They've basically taken windsurfing and combined it with skiing powder and then mixed it all together with snowboarding and snow-kiting too. The film features athletes Maxime Chabloz with a snow-kite and Ueli Kestenholz speed riding. Chabloz is a junior world champion in both freestyle kitesurfing and freeskiing. Kestenholz is both an Olympian and has won the X Games twice. The film also features Flo Orley who won several Freeride World Tour stops. The combined talent between these three is evident as they surf their way around the magnificent landscape the Engadine mountains in Switzerland have to offer. Watch as they traverse spines led by kite, and even do some McConkey-style ski jumps.
Every year come spring, we love to see some of the world’s best freestyle riders get together atop a glacier in the Alps to ski and ride a custom-built terrain park that’s straight from their wildest dreams. The 2021 Audi Nines presented by Falken is officially underway in snowy Crans-Montana, Valais, Switzerland, and the course looks absolutely insane! The key factor that will always make or break a trip is the people. Not everyone is willing to pile into a smelly van and spend long days on the road in search of pow days, pillows, and big lines. But the folks who are into that kind of cup of tea are certainly the ones worth having around. Just use the Lodge Boys as an example. They’re a group of friends bonded together simply by the act of snowboarding. They’re known in the Pacific Northwest for their high energy and infectious stoke, and
I've never watched any footage of Sam Kuch skiing and thought "yeah that was cool, I guess?" Plain and simple, the dude throws down. Just a few short years ago, Kuch was working construction and living the ski bum life up in BC. After being discovered as a master of the planks, Kuch skyrocketed his way to being one of the best freeskiers in the game. Whether he's dropping pillows or hucking threes off of cliffs, there's no shortage of style from Kuch. This short film from Arc'teryx takes
