Filming in the Hemlocks on Mammoth Mountain, Chris Bentchetler’s collaborative effort with the Grateful Dead was plagued by one hundred mile per hour winds in the midst of a heavy night-time storm. Michelle discusses the fog that would obscure some of the shots. Generators that froze and later failed. Light suits would flicker while filming, often turning off entirely.
