Killington Ski Resort to Open Thursday, First in State of Vermont

Killington Ski Resort in Killington, Vermont, is set to kick off the 2024-25 ski season as the first resort in the state to open on Thursday, November 14. With snowmaking underway, eager skiers and snowboarders can soon hit the slopes and enjoy some early season turns. 

Often called "The Beast of the East," Killington is known for its expansive terrain and long ski season. Nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, Killington boasts the largest vertical drop in New England at 30,50 feet and covers over 1,500 acres with more than 150 trails.
