ESPN Launches Competition to Find Best Big Mountain Ski Resort

ESPN just launched a competition to determine which North American ski resort has the best terrain. Similar to their other "Real" contest in ski and snowboard categories, this will pit seven iconic resorts against each other. The rules are actually pretty awesome, something every core skier and snowboarder can get behind. All of the footage in these videos had to be shot over the 2016/17 winter season and exclusively feature resort-sponsored athletes who ski and ride each resort on a regular basis. Only natural terrain features were allowed (no snowcat-made kickers), and all footage is of places you can get to from the top of a lift.

We have some classic spots battling it out including our home mountain of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. We may be partial to our backyard hill but there are plenty of rad shred destinations to vote for.

Voting ends at 9 a.m. PT on Monday, November 13.

This is one of the best articles I have come across. Keep up the good work. Tweakbox Download for iOS

Those spots are so great I would like to skiing there myself.

This Holiday Season, Give the Gift of Avalanche Awareness

Wednesday morning, Travis Rice took to his Facebook page to share the above video from the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education and Know Before You Go. In the caption for the video, Rice wrote, "Safety first, second and third. It's that time of year to figure out what your avalanche awareness plan is! Take a course, go through your gear, practice with your friends and be responsible!" With the holiday season officially upon us, and the attention of scores of people around

Nick McNutt Shows How To Effortlessly Slay BC Pow

As skiing has evolved, so too have the styles of the riders we admire. The frenetic skiing favored by guys like Glen Plake decades ago has evolved into a smoother, almost hypnotic style that features in the films of present day, and perhaps no skier makes it all look as easy or as smooth Nick McNutt. Check out his segment from TGR's new ski and snowboard film Rogue Elements, and marvel at how effortlessly McNutt rips through BC pillow lines and hucks laid out corks off backcountry hits. The

Johnny Collinson Invites You Home For Thanksgiving

There's a decent chance that, wherever in the country you are right now, you're fighting throngs of traffic, handsy TSA agents and post-apocalyptic flight delays to get home for the traditional painful political conversations and drunken arguments that come with Thanksgiving dinner. It's a tradition as American as baseball and apple pie. But coming home for the holidays doesn't always need to be stress inducing. Especially not when you're Johnny Collinson and you make your home in Little
