ESPN Launches Competition to Find Best Big Mountain Ski Resort

ESPN just launched a competition to determine which North American ski resort has the best terrain. Similar to their other "Real" contest in ski and snowboard categories, this will pit seven iconic resorts against each other. The rules are actually pretty awesome, something every core skier and snowboarder can get behind. All of the footage in these videos had to be shot over the 2016/17 winter season and exclusively feature resort-sponsored athletes who ski and ride each resort on a regular basis. Only natural terrain features were allowed (no snowcat-made kickers), and all footage is of places you can get to from the top of a lift.

We have some classic spots battling it out including our home mountain of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. We may be partial to our backyard hill but there are plenty of rad shred destinations to vote for.

Voting ends at 9 a.m. PT on Monday, November 13.

This is one of the best articles I have come across. Keep up the good work. Tweakbox Download for iOS

Those spots are so great I would like to skiing there myself.

Real Skifi Tries 21 Tricks on the Same Rail

The Real Skifi crew put the creativity back into skiing. In an era of competition slopestyle runs that look like Olympic aerials skiing, the crew of Finnish misfits give skiing a breath of fresh air. This time, the guys try 21 different tricks on the same handrail. Oh, and did we mention theres no snow in sight, and the handrail leads straight into a river? Looks like a great way too cool off to us.

Video: Aymar Navarro Dances His Way Down Couloir

Once again, Aymar Navarro manages to blow our minds with his ability to find yet another super sick line in South America, and absolutely style it. This time, Navarro and filmmaker Txema Trull send it down the Punta Balcón on Chile’s Cajón del Maipo. While we know that music was added after the fact, it’s almost as if Navarro and Trull are truly dancing their way down the never-ending line. Nice work! RELATED: Aymar Navarro Rips the Real C

Chris Benchetler Celebrates 10 Years of the Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

There are few skiers in the industry that have been as influential as the soft-spoken, pow-slaying, ski design mastermind that is Chris Benchetler. 10 years ago, he was first presented with the opportunity to design and build a pro-model ski for Atomic. Since then the ski has taken on several new forms, but the basic design (a fat, playful twintip pow ski inspired by Benchetler’s desire to surf and butter down mountains) has never changed. The action sports world is full of parallels, and
