11-Year-Old Skateboarder Sky Brown Took A GNARLY Crash And Reminds Us Its OK To Fall

Turns out little kids aren’t just made of rubber. We’re sorry to see 11-year-old skateboarder and Britain's youngest Olympian Sky Brown take a crash that landed her in the hospital with a fractured skull and a broken arm and wrist. One thing is certain though, and that’s that Brown is tough as nails for speaking to her fans from her hospital bed about the importance of learning from mistakes and getting up from falls.

“I don’t usually post my falls or talk about them, because I want people to see the fun in what I do, but this was my worst fall, and I just want everyone to know that I’m OK. It’s OK to fall sometimes. I’m just going to get back up and push even harder. I know there’s a lot going on in the world right now and I want everyone to know that whatever we do we’ve got to do it with love and happiness.”

Sometimes it’s the small features on a river that can be the most dangerous, as this close call on Mexico’s Río el Salto demonstrates. Kayaker Saves Baby Deer From River Rapids

Poor little Bambi forgot his PFD when he was swept downstream in the Candigliano river in Italy. Lucky for him, there was a group of kayakers nearby ready to lend a helping hand. There isn’t any sort of standard kayaking protocol for saving woodland creatures in whitewater, but this one heroic Italian managed to safely pull the distressed animal onto the front of his boat and ferry it back to shore. From the looks of it, the deer seemed to enjoy the ride too. RELATED: Watch the Official

In yet another very worthy entry to Kayak Session Mag’s 2020 Carnage for All beater reel contest, Italian boater Luca Neri gets pinned under some downed tree branches while running the Germanasca river west of Torino. We don’t speak Italian here, but the point he was trying to make as he realizes his poor line choice was quite clear: “merda merda merda merda.” RELATED: Tom Van Steenbergen - Onward and Upward Luckily, with the help of his friends, Luca was able to get the tree branch unstuck
