Kings and Queens of Corbet’s Dates and Start List Released

Jackson Hole recently released the dates and start list for the third annual Kings and Queens of Corbet's, and things appear to be shaping up nicely. It'll be hard to beat last year's competition, but with both veterans and new faces hungry for ludicrous airtime, it's almost certain to equal or even eclipse the 2019 competition.

The competition is scheduled to take place between February 10th and 15th, dependent on snow and weather conditions. Each competitor will get two runs to impress their fellow riders, who will then vote to determine 2020's King and Queen.

We're excited to see our man Tim Durtschi take a break from the Freeride World Tour to compete, alongside 2019 FWT champ Arianna Tricomi. Other notable new faces include skiers Logan Pehota, Sam Kuch, and Jake Hopfinger, as well as snowboarders Jessika Jenson and Madison Blackley.

To see the full list of competitors, check out the event's homepage here.

For those few who haven't heard, the 2020 edition of Kings and Queens of Corbet's Couloir went down yesterday at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. It was an action-packed event, featuring tricks never before landed during the competition. It's hard to imagine how the athletes will raise the bar after this year's insane performances, but we would have probably said the same thing last year. You know those signs at resorts that warn about gear getting caught in the chair lift, and your subsequent reaction that you think it'll never happen to you? Thanks to the quick thinking of personnel at Elk Mountain, Pennsylvania, this young skier spent only a few heart-stopping moments in that reality when her pole became lodged in the chair.  RELATED: Check Out TGR's Annual Safety Week According to reports, she was uninjured and wanted to return to the slopes shortly after her rescue.
