Come See TGR’s Films on Tour This Week

Ski season is just about here, and how better to celebrate than watching a ski and/or snowboard film with your friends? Trick question— there is no better way to celebrate. There are shows scheduled at theaters across the continent, so whether you live out West, back East, or somewhere in between, we've got you covered. Particularly exciting are this Thursday's showing of Winterland in Toronto, featuring both Tim Durtschi and Kai Jones, and next Thursday's Jackson premiere of Roadless at the Center for the Arts. We've also got a double-header coming up in Newport, RI this Sunday— a great opportunity to see Winterland and Roadless in one sitting!

Five Blind Veterans Complete the Ultimate Kayaking Trip Down The Grand Canyon

Warning: This video will hit you right in the feels, but it's absolutely worth the watch. Travis Fugate had never met a blind person before he lost his vision fighting overseas. He was sure that extreme sports were over for him. But as Travis would learn, he was capable of kayaking down 226 miles of frothing whitewater through the Grand Canyon. Bear Goes for a Morning Swim in Lake Tahoe

At first glance, this dark blob swimming around in Lake Tahoe looks like a dog. Think again: it’s a black bear, even though it has excellent dog-paddling form. Turns out Smokey went for a little morning dip before the lake got too busy. You can’t really blame him, the lake is so beautiful one can’t help but jump in. Come See Roadless and Winterland on Tour This Week

Are you mentally prepared for winter? Do you find yourself daydreaming of windy chairlift rides and bottomless powder turns? Have you almost called in sick to work and flown to Colorado several times over the past week? If so, well done, and if not...get your head in the game, buddy! According to the fringe science of noetic theory, if we all think about snow enough it'll be a good winter. Or at least that's what I took away from by Dan Brown. Kind of a confusing book though. RELATED: Have
