Avalanche Traps 13 Cyclists in Glacier National Park

Cyclists biking along Going-to-the-Sun Road in Montana's Glacier National Park yesterday were trapped for 8 hours by a series of avalanches which rendered the road impassable. No one was injured in the slides.

In an interview with Helena's KTVH, Ranger Lauren Alley blamed the slide on the day's warming temperatures. She noted that the danger of wet snow avalanches increases throughout the day, and recommended that those hoping to use the road start early.
