Alex Honnold Free Climbs San Francisco

Editor's Note: Early we made a mistake in stating that Alex free-soloed El Capitan's Dawn Wall. This is not the case and it was deleted.

One of the world's ballsiest rock climbers, Alex Honnold has free-soloed massive walls like El Sendero Luminoso in El Potrero Chico, Mexico. He also lives in a dirtbag's dream set-up, a fully equipped, solar-powered van, and travels the world looking for new ascents.

In this short edit from his insurance provider, Stride Health, Honnold comes homes to the Bay Area and climbs the Palace of Fine Arts, among other buildings, for the camera.

Minor correction: Honnold has not free-soloed the Dawn Wall on El Cap nor is he credited with the first (only ascent).  The Dawn Wall is credited only to Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson.

Minor Correction: Honnold has not free soloed the Dawn Wall on El Cap nor is he credited with the first and only ascent.  Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson are the only two credited with the ascent of the Dawn Wall.
