MountainFLOW Pitches Environmentally-Friendly Ski Wax on ‘Shark Tank’

Every year the ABC hit show Shark Tank receives roughly 35,000-40,000 applications from aspiring entrepreneurs with hopes of impressing the show's esteemed panel of celebrity entrepreneurs, also known as sharks. But only a handful of those applicants get to make their elevator pitch, and recently, Peter Arlein of MountainFLOW Eco-Wax was one of the lucky few that pitched his idea on primetime television.

So, what exactly about his company caught the attention of the show’s investors? MountainFLOW Eco-Wax makes plant-based ski waxes, which are hard to come by in the ski industry. Most ski waxes are petroleum-based and are not the best for the environment, specifically impacting the groundwater and animals in the places we ski. MountainFLOW offers an exciting alternative to traditional ski waxes and is rapidly expanding into other plant-based products like bike lube, grease, and bike wash. It turns out a few of the sharks on Shark Tank are skiers themselves and saw the exciting potential behind Arlein’s business. Watch as he dukes it out to score a deal of a lifetime.

Plant-based Ski wax is a great idea! The number one problem of ski waxes is how bad they are for the environment. From manufacturing up to waste disposal. It’s great that mainstream TV did put attention to this. Thanks for sharing this great news! Septic Services

What a great way to innovate while still caring for the environment. I really appreciate efforts and approaches like this by companies. Thanks for sharing TGR! concrete contractors
