Surfer Bros Passionately Advocate for Statue of Paul Walker in SoCal City Council Meeting

"I stand before you today in the midst of gnarly times." And it only gets better from there.

This video shows two dudes, Chad Kroeger and Bodhi Johnson, speaking up passionately in a San Clemente City Council meeting about their desire to have a 20-foot statue of the late Paul Walker built in their town. We are only 85 percent sure this is real (but 100 percent sure it's hilarious).

From YouTube:

Two brave guardians of the rad stood before the high court of San Clemente, demanding a tribute to the late Paul Walker, who's cousin went to San Clemente High School, be radically erected at the local Pier in downtown San Clemente.

“I’m pretty sure Paul’s cousin went to San Clemente high school… at least a couple of semesters.”

So many good ones!

Warning: This video will hit you right in the feels, but it's absolutely worth the watch. Travis Fugate had never met a blind person before he lost his vision fighting overseas. He was sure that extreme sports were over for him. But as Travis would learn, he was capable of kayaking down 226 miles of frothing whitewater through the Grand Canyon. The Wedge at Newport Beach, California is one of those waves that seems to do with you whatever it pleases, and we’ve certainly seen our fair share of wipeouts at the iconic spot. Like this. Or even this. But that sure as hell didn’t deter bodysurfer Thomas Van Melum from hopping into the wave with nothing but a wetsuit and some fins. In fact, he actually almost makes it look fun. From Surfing to Songwriting, Jack Johnson’s Unexpected Music Career

Jack Johnson never intended to become a musician, and neither did Ryan Bingham. Both songwriters were pursuing wildly different paths prior to their music careers. After becoming the youngest surfer to reach the finals at Pipeline Masters at the mere age of 17, Johnson’s surf career was looking bright. Meanwhile, Bingham’s focus was riding bulls at rodeos.  RELATED: Check out Volume I of the TGR Journal But through a strange twist of events, both musicians were forced to pivot and pursue new
