It might not be the World Cup, but downhill mountain bike racing is back! Downhill Southeast just kicked off the 2020 DH season with a full-bore race weekend at Windrock, Tennesee. International and US travel restrictions certainly made this a unique race, pitting some of the best local riders in the area faced off against some big-name World Cup pros like Dakotah Norton and Luca Shaw. Unsurprisingly, the locals held their own against many of the pros, including a blazingly fast 3rd place finish by Isak Leivsson on a homemade bike.

It might not be the same as watching the Bundesliga restarting across the pond, but we’re pretty stoked to see some of the fastest men and women on bikes face the clock again. Fingers crossed that the UCI will return this fall. The revised schedule sees racing return to Europe in early September.
