Last fall, I got a chance to test a pair of carbon wheels from Kamloops, BC- based manufacturer We Are One Composites. We were blown away by the ride quality and craftsmanship, so seeing the news that WAO are now in the bicycle frame game got me pretty giddy. Handmade bikes are a rare thing these days, especially when they’re made of carbon. It’s expensive, it’s really hard, and there’s a lot of competition. But that didn’t stop the team at WAO from chasing their dream of creating a work of art in the form of a 29-inch full-suspension mountain bike designed for any trail, anywhere. It's called the Arrival and it’s a race bike, it’s a play bike, in fact, it’s meant to be ridden wherever you bring it. The most impressive thing is that it’s 100 percent designed, manufactured, and assembled in their Kamloops factory, with all parts (save for a few titanium bolts) sourced from within 500 miles of home. Check out more on the bike here.
