With weather that can only be described as biblical during the first few days of practice in Leogang, Austria, the skies cleared for finals day and the world’s fastest racers finally got to duke it out on the big stage. The cross country mountain biking competitions for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics wrapped up yesterday and Great Britain secured the gold for the first time in MTB history. 21 -year old Tom Pidcock was the new elite biker to watch going into the games, but because of his low UCI XCO ranking, his starting position was on the 4th row.
