We're not exactly sure why bike companies have decided to pursue humor-driven advertising, but we're not complaining. From Specialized's 'Oh Delilah' Stumpjumper ads to Rocky Mountain's 'The Slayer', we love them all. If we had to guess, we'd say that companies know that bikers tend to be detail-oriented and research-inclined, so they don't bother beating us over the head with facts and figures.

Comedy aside, the Supercaliber's design looks quite interesting. With 60mm of frame travel and a 100mm fork, it's very much a cross country bike, but the bike's weight is a mere 22 pounds thanks to the IsoStrut. It's a unique design among today's bike offerings, so we're curious to see how it will be received among the notoriously-picky biking community.

Yes, I do agree with your article. I have seen the trek’s new super caliber ad. Hostsailor It is completely a hilarious one. I enjoyed watching it. I think making such a comedy ad for the bike is a kind of marketing technique to attract people.
