Squamish, British Columbia has become one of North America's premiere mountain biking destinations over the past several decades, boasting countless miles of well-built trails and a thriving MTB community to match. None of it would have been possible without the area's trailbuilders, who put weeks of backbreaking work into producing the trails most take for granted.
"Big Red Ted" Tempany is one of Squamish's best trailbuilders. He started his career building slopestyle courses, but tired of building the same features which would inevitably be torn down after the event. Eventually, he found his passion: Building trails to be used by generations of riders. He teamed up with Anthill Films to build one such trail for Return to Earth, Anthill's 2019 bike film.
