Unbelievably Gnarly Pileup at Mountain of Hell 2019

Most people who have spent enough time on a ski slope have seen someone rag-doll, have rag-dolled themselves, or all of the above. It's a scary thing to see, especially if there are rocks, trees, or other hard objects in the vicinity of the person rag-dolling.

The first section of Mountain of Hell, an annual mountain bike race at Les 2 Alpes, takes place on a snow-covered ski slope—not exactly ideal conditions for biking. Fair warning: The above video includes copious amounts of rag-dolling. Luckily, it occurs on snow. Unluckily, everyone is riding bikes made of (relatively) heavy, hard, and sharp materials. At about 00:42, someone falls down mid-pack while nuking down a snowy slope, causing one of the biggest, baddest pileups we've ever seen. People are flying, bikes are flying, random bike components are flying. It's an undeniable mess, but one which is hard to look away from, sort of like those mangled cars sitting on the highway's shoulder that everyone slows down to get a better look at.
