These Brazilian MTB Riders Didn’t Have Trails, So They Built Their Own

There are certain parts of the world that just scream “mountain bike destination!” We’re talking Whistler, Moab, Crested Butte, but how about Rio De Janiero, Brazil? Not exactly. But that’s no problem for Caio Suzarte and Eduardo Arrudo, riders and trail builders who have spent the last few years putting Brazil on the mountain biking map with some creative building right out their back door.

In the latest episode of Specialized’s Soil Searching, check out Suzarte and Arrudo’s trail work, and look inside the emerging Brazilian riding culture. Ripping lush jungle trails is certainly not something you get to do in those other destinations.
