Red Bull Rampage News: Fairclough and Métailler Out, Howard In

With only a few more days to go until the 2017 Red Bull Rampage, things are not looking great for several riders. Rémy Métailler has announced he will not attend after some border trouble and Brendan Fairclough is out due to a another injury sustained in practice.

Métailler will miss the competition in Virgin, UT after being denied entry into the US due to visa trouble. His request to enter the country was denied after border security informed him that the purpose of his trip, to compete and make money as a professional athlete, did not qualify for entry under his visa.

Both Métailler and Fairclough are known for their incredibly hard-charging style, bringing full-on race speeds to the competition usually dominated by big hucks and tricks. Fairclough, known for his affinity for massive canyon gap features, was forced to pull out of last year’s competition after coming up short in practice left him too sore to compete.

Ryan “RDog” Howard is taking Fairclough’s spot, Métailler's has yet to be filled. Any takers?
