POV: Gee Atherton Previews the Maribor UCI Course

World Cup racing kicked off this weekend in Maribor, Slovenia. It’s been nine years since Maribor has hosted a World Cup DH race, and despite the lull, the track hasn’t gotten any easier.

The rocky and rooty course failed to slow down Loïc Bruni and Tahnée Seagrave who snagged the year's first wins. To give us a little taste of the fun Gee Atherton threw on a GoPro and zipped through the track for a course preview. What's more impressive is not his riding, but the fact he can talk us through each line while going mach-speed.

"From last year in Croatia when I got injured to this one, it is redemption big time. I am super happy. I normally don't do back-to-back. Obviously the new bike is working as Finn was flying all weekend too. 29-inch front wheels are bringing me some good luck." - Loïc Bruni, Bartek Wolinski Photo.

Rachel Atherton was nipping at Seagrave's heels but wasn't able to best her time. Bartek Wolinski Photo.

As you can imagine, Danny Daycare is a bit on the extreme end of the spectrum, but who’s to say? The kids seem to enjoy it.  RELATED: Danny MacAskill Rides Through An Abandoned Argentinian Town View this post on Instagram

Andri Ragettli’s Version of Multisporting Looks A lot Like Candide

When winter starts to fade, our minds start to shift from snow to dirt. Freeskier Andri Ragettli and friends were having similar thoughts, it seems. As spring took hold of Laax, Switzerland, Ragettli teamed up with his brother Gian to get one last lap in on the mountain before heading down low to shred some singletrack. Of course, when you see the name Ragettli, it means creative tricks off big features all over the mountain, just like the master Candide himself. Maybe they should link up?

Mountain Biker Night Rides in Empty Mall

“Can I ride my bike here?” It’s a thought that’s likely crossed every pre-teen’s brain while being dragged to the local mall. Well, rider Elias Schwärzler just fulfilled that childhood dream. Somehow he got the keys to the Leine Shopping Mall in Laatzen, Germany, and instead of pillaging the Godiva chocolate shop, he turns the shopping center into one huge mountain bike playground.  RELATED: Tyler McCaul Drops Banger New MTB Series Handbuilt
