Norco Brings Back The Long Travel Freeride Bike: the Shore

News flash: Freeride is alive and well. With mountain biking exploding this summer (following a multi-year trend) we are glad to see that our favorite aspect of the sport - shredding for the sake of shredding – is here to stay. Norco, one of the original pioneers of freeride mountain biking, just dropped an all-new bike catering exclusively to that particular faction of riders. Paying homage to freeride's roots, it’s called the Shore, has 180mm of travel front and rear, 27.5-inch wheels, and a burly all-aluminum frame. That being said, it’s a modern bike through and through, featuring aggressive geometry, a high pivot Horst-link suspension design complete with an idler pulley, and a load of other features that should make your wildest dreams a reality.

Check out none other than freeride legend Matt Macduff take the bike for a spin: we’re talking old-school Vancouver North Shore riding, complete with plenty of SCARY wood features, big gap jumps, and infamous rock rolls.

The Smaller the Grom the Bigger the Send

It seems like kids these days keep sending it bigger and bigger. This group of groms known as the Outlaw Bike Team certainly proves that. These kids are not only pushing themselves on bikes but their team also values leadership, teamwork, and education. Based all over the Salt Lake City area, these kids are already riding better than many of us even dream of. Their first full edit not only showcases the amount of talent in this group, but also some excellent dance moves and fancy cars.
