Mountain Biking is For the Gals

We’re back with more groms on mountain bikes- but this time, it’s a full on girl gang. Based around some of the country’s best biking, the all girls mountain bike clubs the Flying Squirrels and the Radical Rippers call Bellingham, Washington home. Founded by Transition Bike’s Keri Young and Angi Weston, these clubs are based around not only building a solid foundation for mountain biking before expanding into more advanced riding, they’re also looking to foster community. Breaking into action sports like freeride mountain biking isn’t always easy as a girl and these groups have created an environment in which the girls riding aren’t worried about being the only girl on the trail. It looks like a pretty epic way to learn to bike, not to mention Accomplice athlete Hannah Bergeman is their coach.

Apparently, he’s also really good at mountain biking. In Rémy Métallier’s new video, Douglas shows Métallier down one of his favorite bike trails in Whistler, British Columbia. Even though Douglas is a pro skier, he

Funny: Loris Vergier Narrates Santa Cruz’s Latest Release Video

We’re always fans of Loris Vergier’s outrageous French accent, but it gets even better when he’s simply making noises to “narrate” a mountain bike video. That’s exactly what he does with Santa Cruz’s latest release vid (for the brand-new Bullit e-mtb), and it’s pretty damn funny. Ever heard of a foley artist? It’s how Hollywood creates sound effects for the movies in post-production. For example, in Star Wars, sound designer and foley artist Ben Burtt says he created the famous TIE fighter

Remy Metailler Shares Some Winter MTB Tips and Tricks

Just because it’s gross and wet outside doesn’t mean you have to stop riding you mountain bike this winter. Well, that is if you live in a place where the trails aren’t covered in feet of snow from November through May. For those of us lucky enough to live (or at least spend time in) areas like the PNW or the Southeast, riding on sloppy and wet winter days is a great way to improve bike handling skills and make our riding that much better when things get fast and loose in the dryer months of
