Kyle Jameson and Carson Storch’s FEST Series Course is Insane

Ah, the FEST Series. It’s like that cool cousin you know lives a way radder life than you, but your family never really talks about. Eclipsed by the larger, more media-driven events like Rampage and World Cup racing, FEST series events bring the rowdy level to entirely new heights: think jumps so big that motos are hitting them alongside DH bikes.

In between trips to Nicaragua to work on the Volcanico project, Oregon-based freerider Kyle Jameson has been working on the course for his own event in the series. Black Sage Fest, the brainchild of Jameson and fellow Bend local Carson Storch, is shaping up nicely.

Take a peek into what it takes to create one of the rowdiest freeride courses ever built. Most of it is handbuilt, with riders putting in the hours moving dirt and gravel by shovel and wheelbarrow, and packing it down by hand.

Black Sage Fest is set to go off May 5.
