Jeff Kendall-Weed Turns Tahoe Trails Into Skatepark

If you remember this video from back in the summer, you're already familiar with the bike skills wizardry of Santa Cruz local Jeff Kendall-Weed. The guy rides like the Danny MacAskill of trail riding: absolutely blasting any little jump along the trail, ripping turns with a style concerned with a lot more than just carrying speed out of the end of the corner, and pulling off absurd rear-tire-to-crotch bunny hops over trailside trees on his hometown Santa Cruz trails.

This time around, T-Bar's Elion Wilkinson-Ray followed Jeff around on his first time through South Lake Tahoe's singletrack classics, like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Van Sickle. Despite little familiarity with the trails, Jeff puts on a show, nose-manualing down sheer granite faces, doubling up huge gaps, and manualing through endless sections. It's a performance of bike skills that would put 99.9% of us to shame, and reminds us that there's a lot more to learn on a bike than going fast.
