If You Needed Another Reason to Mountain Bike in Bend, Here it is…

A world-class mountain biking destination requires a handful of ingredients–land access, committed trail builders, and a vibrant community, just to name a few. Bend, Oregon has all of those qualities in spades.

It's wonder that prominent riders like Cam McCaul, Dusty Wygle, and Kyle Jameson have established roots here. Carson Storch—who honed his skills as a freerider on these trails—is also deeply passionate about the local riding scene, as evident from his efforts to establish the Black Sage Fest, an unofficial freeride event in Bend. Since there are no judges, the session celebrates the basic tenets of riding—just getting out and having fun.

To get a preview of what to expect in June, Kurt Sorge and Graham Agassiz snuck down to Bend from Kamloops, British Columbia to ride with Storch. To say we're excited to see the real deal would be an understatement.
