Gee Atherton Rides One Of the Gnarliest Jump Lines We’ve Ever Seen

There’s something about Gee Atherton that puts him on an entirely different level than most mountain bikers. Put simply, the features and lines he chooses to ride simply re-define the term “gnarly.” Look at his Red Bull Hardline event – a cross between Rampage-style freeriding and World Cup downhill racing. Or better yet, take a look at this custom-built line he and his brother Dan put together on an unassuming hillside above Dyfi Bike Park. At first glance, it’s just another jump line, but once you watch Gee ride it, it becomes clear just how wild the ride is. We’re talking massive gaps and step downs, all with a seriously healthy amount of exposure rider’s left. It’s no surprise he looked so relieved to make it down the line at the end.
