From his time spent racing professionally on the UCI World Cup circuit and Crankworx Tour, Eliot Jackson has always found himself grappling with an uncomfortable fact. He was almost always the only Black rider at the starting line. That’s something he hopes to change with an exciting new initiative called the Grow Cycling Foundation. This new foundation aims to eliminate the many barriers of entry that exist for marginalized communities when it comes to pursuing mountain, road, gravel, and BMX riding. Jackson hopes that tools like education, access, and community building will lead to a more diverse and inclusive cycling industry.

Already his team is hard at work making their first initiative a reality: a 30,000 square-foot Velosolutions pump track in Los Angeles. Their dream with this state-of-the-art track is that it will grow into a community space and a venue for events and educational programs.
