Nothing is more comforting than completing a grueling sufferfest, only to realize that you climbed the wrong peak. Oh sh!t. Kenny Smith, Fraser Newton, Chester Bush, and Margus Riga had a taste of this mishap firsthand on their nine-day bikepacking odyssey in the backwoods of British Columbia. They started their adventure by being dropped off by a float plane, and then proceeded to bushwhack their way through the Chilcotin mountains—far from any trace of civilization.
Despite the many challenges, like navigational errors and impromptu raft construction, the adventure made for one trip that they’ll never forget.
