Cannondale’s Latest DH Bike Has Two Shocks

Cannondale sure likes to cause a stir. After snagging Josh Bryceland and the 50to01 crew, the brand continues to pay homage to its maverick style with their latest downhill rig. Matt Simmonds has been coyly teasing the bike for the past few months, but finally, we get to see the full rig. It’s been confirmed that the bike has two shocks, which is different, to say the least.

The bike hasn’t been released to the public yet, so there isn’t much of a general opinion regarding the design. Here’s what Cannondale had to say about the official reveal:

“Downhill is the ultimate proving ground - a place where relentless innovation requires fearless determination and a bit of creativity. For Cannondale, downhill racing is a kindred spirit, an attitude that has pushed the boundaries time and time again. Cannondale returns to the sport after a decade-long hiatus, bringing new knowledge and a fresh approach. We are here to test, here to learn and here to race.”

As spring took hold of Laax, Switzerland, Ragettli teamed up with his brother Gian to get one last lap in on the mountain before heading down low to shred some singletrack. Of course, when you see the name Ragettli, it means creative tricks off big features all over the mountain, just like the master Candide himself. Maybe they should link up?

Mind-blowing mountain bike edits don’t come to be without hours and hours of work. Planning, digging, waiting, shooting, re-shooting, and all the production work are all part of the game. And that’s not even the hard part – you still need to nail all your tricks for the camera. It's a tough game to create this stuff. Tyler McCaul just dropped Chapter 1 of a new self-produced series and it showcases not just his sick riding, but all the hard work that goes into each shoot.
