In pure Erik Roner style, Travis Pastrana BASE jumped off of the colossal Ponte Tower in Johannesburg, South Africa. A fitting tribute to his dear friend, who was also a beloved member of the Nitro Circus team.

Two years ago the action sports community lost one of its most prolific members when Roner unexpectedly died in a skydiving accident. The professional skier redefined the sport by integrating BASE jumping into his exploits. A prominent figure in 12 our films, we miss his vibrant spirit day to day. Pastrana echoes our sentiments—when he jumps, it’s always for Roner.
More than just an iconic in the industry, Roner was also an incredible human—who left behind two children and a wife. The first ever annual event in honor of Roner’s life is on August 2nd in Huntington Beach, California, which seeks to support his family. More details can be found on the event page here.
