This Story Of Eduardo Garcia Will Inspire You

What if you had to rethink ever single task you’ve been capable of doing in life thus far? At 30 years old, Eduardo Garcia’s life changed in one instant. This film present by YETI, tells the story of an American chef who was shocked with 2400 volts of electricity in Montana’s backcountry. Garcia incredibly ventured in the backcountry to a cabin where a man sat him down and called an ambulance. When Garcia was admitted to the hospital, he was a deadman with a heartbeat, and ended up spending 48 days in Salt Lake City’s burn trauma intensive care unit. He underwent 21 surgeries, which included removing four of his ribs, amputation of his hand and cutting away destroyed muscle.

Despite undergoing one of the most traumatic experiences that a human being can endure, Garcia was able to see things in a different light, and only focus on the positives. The incident, though incredibly challenging, allowed Garcia  to truly become the best version of himself and be thankful for all the things in his life that remain. He believes that he lives a richer life having experienced what he had, and exuberates positivity with every breath he takes.
