I am not exactly sure where this video was taken (I will update as soon as I find out), but it does show the raw and terrible power that an avalanche can release. The amount of speed and distance it covered is truly incredible. Even the people filming were almost too close to the action.

Think this is (as mentiond in the video) is from “Stjernøya” (translation: Star-island) located in Finnmark (North of Alta) In Norway yes.

The mining company Sibelco conducted a controlled avalanche above its recovery plant of nepheline syenite on Stjernøya (Star Island) in Finnmark, Norway on the 8th og april 2014. One of the workers filmed the event.
