Running 49 Hours, 38 Minutes, 100 Miles, 44K Vert, and 14 Fourteeners

Joe Grant is no stranger to 14ers. The Colorado resident summited all 58 over a 31-day period in 2016, using only his feet and bicycle for transport. Evidently unsatiated by that achievement, he decided to climb Nolan's 14, a string of peaks in central Colorado's Sawatch Range. Entirely unsupported, he carried everything he would need for the roughly 100-mile journey.

Grant ended up setting the unsupported fastest known time for the route, completing the 100 miles and 44,000 feet of climbing in a little over four days. This Black Diamond-produced video focuses on Grant's motivation and goals for such an arduous trek. For more information on Grant and his experience on Nolan's, take a look at this interview.
