Record Breaking Snowkite Ascent of Mount St. Helens

Using only the power of the wind, Snowkite pioneer Aaron Sales, 42,  broke the non-motorized speed record to Mount St. Helens' summit rim.

Sales (a fitting name) ascended 3,150 feet in under 35 minutes.

Sales told The Seattle Times he believes it was the first time someone ascended the mountain by snowkite. He said he's been trying to find a way to do it for a 10 years and has made over 12 attempts.

Holy moly! This looks absolutely amazing and terrifying at the same time. Congratulations for beating that record!
