National Forests are just big swaths land with lots of trees, right? Wrong. They’re home to incredible ecological diversity, stunning landscapes, and a treasure trove of outdoor recreational opportunities. Thankfully, the fine folks of More Than Just Parks have been hard at work on a project called More Than Just Forests.

Their goal is to showcase what makes the 155 different national forests in the U.S. so special. The latest installment highlights the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah. It’s home to a stunning array of valleys, forests, canyons, and meadows, which lends to incredible biking, skiing, hunting, hiking, and much more. If this doesn’t make you want to go hug a tree and high five a forest ranger, I’m not sure what will.
