Ever wondered what it’s like to get buried alive under one of the biggest waves in the world? Well, in case you’re unfamiliar with that feeling, pro surfer Ian Walsh has a story to tell. Late one afternoon, Walsh dropped into what he thought would be the ride of his life on a monster at Mavericks, only to realize the wave was even bigger than he anticipated. During the drop, he lost control of his board, and got absolutely crushed by the wall of water above him. That must be scary! A really gigantic wave suddenly hovering above you. Still, hearing how his thoughts worked when he saw it was amazing.
