Anyone who knows surfing knows that Fiji's Cloudbreak is not for the faint of heart. Aussie surfer Laurie Towner is probably one of the most low-key surfers of the 21st century, but he still tackles some of the biggest waves in the game.
He may live under the radar, but the massive, technical waves that Towner flawlessly rides at Cloudbreak are more than worthy of the spotlight.
"You want to stay as calm as you can, and know when to relax in scary situations, as hard as that sounds," said Towner. "I think that's the key to riding bigger waves."
Watch as Towner talks about controlling fear, sleepless nights before big waves, and making the most of every day he gets to travel in beautiful places (ahem, Fiji).
