Koa Rothman Surfs Code Red Malibu – Kook Central!

Over the weekend, the code red hurricane swell that has been ripping through the Pacific hit the California coast. After surfing this swell in Tahiti, Koa Rothman and the This is Livin’ team raced to Malibu to surf in Koa’s words, “Possibly the best Malibu I’ve ever seen in my life”. Although the waves were insane, Koa was still surfing Bu, and the crowd was as textbook Malibu as ever. By the end of each of his sessions on a two-day stint of all-day surfs, Koa and his buddy Ian were on clean-up crew and were slashing all the kooks they could off the face and over the falls on their waves. All in all, Koa had some good laughs, great waves and the stoke was high for his trip to Cali where he will be surfing for the rest of the week before returning home to Hawai’i.
