When it comes to legends of action sports films, Bruce Brown is undoubtedly near the top of the list. His seminal 1966 surf documentary Endless Summer set the stage for just about every action sports flick to follow. It contained a simple concept – follow two surfers around the world in the hunt for the perfect wave. The film became a hit, earned a cult following, and became the most successful surf film of all time. Following in his footsteps, Bruce’s son Dana, an award-winning documentary filmmaker of his own right, embarked on a project honoring his late father.
