Over the last ten years the Hessler brothers have established themselves as prominent a force in the Jackson Hole snowboarding community. This short film starts by defining the term family as a "group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation.The term family for the Hesslers goes far beyond bloodline. Their family reaches far and wide, young and old, and are truly some of the most caring and passionate people I have ever known, but the core are the four brothers Phil, Brolin, Jack and Jimmy.
The boys moved to Jackson around eight years ago, not long after Brolin Mawejji had moved from his native country of Uganda and officially been welcomed into the Hessler family. Head of the Jackson Hole Freeride program, Jeff Moran recalls that they were the new kids in town, but immediately noticed how strong their support system was. The confidence they have in each other is palpable, and with Brolin attempting to become the first African snowboarder to compete in the Olympics, his brothers are his strongest training crew.
