VIDEO: Vivian Bruchez Snipes A Rowdy First Descent in France

Much of Vivian Bruchez’s career is based on first descents – yet every time he tags one, it seems to be more impressive than the last. We’ve seen him dance his way down couloirs many times, but his most recent line (shared with his good friend Paul Bonhomme) is a true beauty. It’s called Le Jardin Secret (the secret garden) and oh man, is it rowdy. Bonhomme scoped the line just a few days ago, and noticing it was in pristine condition, set out to nab the descent with Bruchez. Complex routefinding, some incredibly steep and exposed skiing, a 30m rappel, and a short climb into a different couloir make it one for the ages. Lucky for us, Bonhomme filmed the whole deal from his helmet cam.
