Video: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Legendary Alta Ski Patrol

Since its founding in 1941, Alta's Ski Patrol has become one of the foremost avalanche safety departments in the industry. The organization was the first in North America to use howitzers in avalanche mitigation, and was home to the continent's first avalanche dog. Considering that dogs and explosives are two of the coolest parts of being a ski patroller, those are pretty solid claims to fame, at least in our opinion.
