As one the more veteran skiers on the TGR athlete roster, Aspen-based Colter Hinchliffe’s skiing is still as young and full of vitality as ever. Now, nearly a decade into stacking footage for TGR films, Colter’s formula of bringing freestyle elements to technical backcountry lines still results in absolute bangers. Watch with a keen eye, and you’ll quickly notice Colter’s isn’t just huck-and-pray skiing, but some of the most precise ninja-like ripping in the game.
This year for Make Believe, Colter sent it to Japan with his old friend Tim Durtschi and young gun Kai Jones for an unforgettable session skiing some of the deepest snow in the world. Seems like the ultimate testing ground for his favorite deep snow tool from Volkl, the Revolt 121. After getting their fill of culture, sushi, and face shots, he returned home to Aspen to keep filming some of his favorite local stashes. It was chock-full of big air, going upside-down, cold Sierra Nevadas, and reveling in the good vibes of a successful winter with close friends.
