Hey skiers & snowboarders! Crystal Wright here from Wright Training here in Jackson Hole. This is the eighth installment of our nine-part TGR Ski & Snowboard Training Camp, which will get in you killer shape to crush the slopes this winter with minimal equipment and gym experience. Today's exercise, the Tricep Extension, will help you build up strength to pole across long traverses while also building up shoulder strength to prevent injury in a crash. It will also help open up your chest a little bit, as both skiers and snowboarders are liable to hunch over and inwards as the season gets going. Here's how to do it:
Grab a dumbbell. The weight can vary depending on your starting strength–the guys here are using a 30-pound dumbbell, but you could start with one as light at 10 pounds.
Hold the weight above your head with straight arms. Then release it down behind your head slowly as you inhale.

Push up with the weight as you exhale. Push the weight up until your arms reach full extension.
While I mention a different reps/set routine in the video, I'd prefer you focused on 6 rounds of 8-10 reps each. Modify the weight of your dumbbell accordingly.
