Is there an age limit to pursuing our dreams? To pursuing that fleeting feeling we all know and love? Sage Cattabriga-Alosa got his start back in 2001 with Mind the Addiction has since been in more TGR films than any other athlete. Maybe the older you get the more you know what you’re looking for. Sage and his ol’ buddy Ian McIntosh have been in the game long enough. But going so long without a day in the mountains can be a beatdown on the bones - especially when they’re as brittle as theirs. When they see a window, they know when to act on it. Going weeks without a session obscures the mind. It makes you lose sight of what you came here to do. But just like that, up at Stellar Heli Skiing, a spark was ignited. The great wait had finally paid off and that weight had fallen of their shoulders. The inspiration they once felt was creeping back into their souls, with hearts tuned into the present moment. They had found the magic and were only getting started. All jokes aside – Sage Cattabriga-Alosa’s segment in Magic Hour will remind you that you can never be too old to pursue your dreams. The Atomic and The North Face skier knows the simple formula: You have have to know where to look. Congrats to Sage and Ian for winning IF3’s Best Backcountry Segment of the year for their efforts.
