JHMR: A Love Affair With Your Local Resort

A Love Letter to Jackson Hole, foreword

I moved to Jackson in December 2022 to intern for Teton Gravity Research.

As soon as I arrived, Todd Jones, Co-Founder and JK, Head of Production sent me out to film with Kai Jones and Tim Durtschi. Filmmaking in the mountains has been a lifelong dream and I couldn't believe it was all happening so quickly. 

Being previously a full-time backcountry snowboarder, I also fell in love with a resort for the first time and recognized the big red cable car for what it is, one of the greatest art installations in the history of mankind.

Inspired by a few words from my mentor and good friend Todd Jones, I was motivated to write and recite a poem, overlaid with TGR footage shot in and around the resort, and share it with all of you. Thank you Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, for inspiring a tradition that has gathered so many people together over the years.  Thank you for helping us to create this unique lifestyle and inspiring us to live the dream.
